Just as the title

If you are majoring in biomedical engineering, you will already be taking one semester of general chemistry, one semester of organic chemistry, two semesters of physics, and multiple semesters of biology/biomedical engineering, not to mention four semesters of calculus/differential equations.

You would only need to complete one additional semester of general chemistry and one additional semester of organic chemistry to fulfill the pre-med sequence. You could take these two to fulfull your general electives.

Here is the sample schedule for BME: http://www.engin.umich.edu/bulletin/biomed/BIOMEDE.pdf

As for music too, it’s doable but it will probably take you more than eight semesters to graduate.

The premed part is easily covered for BME majos, but, as m1817 points out, the CoE and the CoM each have their many requirements and to major in both will take at least 9, if not 10 terms.

Why would you want to major in both anyway? They are so nonrelated that you would have absolutely no overlapping classes. If I were you I’d just minor in music, you can still do marching band or any other music related organizations on your own time. Plus, in the world of bioengineering, a music major won’t help you at all.

Can’t minor in the School of Music level of music. (Believe you CAN minor in LSA music, but not the same at all.)
Also, if the poster if referring to obtaining a BMus Plus and ENG it will be a minimum of 5 years as there are numerous grad reqs for the BMus.

Another hurdle is admission. SOM is one of top programs in the country. If you’re conservatory level, you’d be in range for an admit. Note that seeking a dual degree between COE and SOM requires two separate applications and two possible outcomes.

I would recommend against a biomedical engineering major if you plan on doing pre-med. A 3.8+ GPA will be difficult to achieve in biomedical engineering. That said, people have done that major gone on towards medical schools, but I can imagine their admission process was probably more difficult.
