I am originally signed up for Latin, but I pretty much have no chance on doing good on that. I would probably end up canceling my scores.

Math is one of my strong points (800 SAT I), but will colleges frown upon me for taking Math I AND II? Is it worth it to shell out the 20 bucks to change Latin for Math I?

I'm also taking the US History this Saturday.

I also find out UVA's early decision THE FRIGGIN DAY BEFORE THE TESTS...sigh.

just take both maths! that's so ironic because i signed up for latin in june as well after i got the gold medal on the latin exam, and then i was like NOOO i'm gonna fail! so i just took both maths, and besides you're taking US history so that's good too!

Colleges will already see that you're really good at math (your SAT I 800) and your L2 score, so I don't think it is worth the 20 bucks to change your test to math I. If you do so well on the other math tests, it's pretty much understood you would do really well on L1. Do the schools you're applying to need 3 subject tests? I'm assuming so because you're in this bind...maybe you could take literature if you're the CR type of person?

Good luck with ED at UVA!! Maybe you won't even have to take these subject tests :D

sk12...uva "strongly recommends" 2 SAT subject tests...but i'm thinking math i would be my safety if i happened not to do so well in the case of us history (practice tests i have only been getting 600s). i was thinking of literature but the curve is pretty harsh.

i don't know... it used to be that u can change the tests that ur taking that day. all you have to do was fill in teh different numbers and test form codes. but this year, i signed up for the MATH I & II and biology because it was teh last day to sign up and i didn't know if I was gogin to take MATH I or World History so i just put whatever down.

then I went to the website and it said that u shuld change b4 hand... and at the test site they said to "take only the tests that are listed in ur admission's ticket"

so i didn't wanna risk changing the tests that day and getting all my scores thrown out.

so i guess if you think u'll get 600+ in Latin, go for it. colleges know that Latin is a dead language and therefore it is more original than say French or Spanish.

hi!.. u can change tests the same day!.. (except for those with listening) and they charge u nothing 4 changing subject tests.. well taking math and history is good and u can take math level II is u want.. that's ok.. I read that yale doesn't care whether u take math I and II and history ( they usually just want to see 2 subject tests!!!).. I`m taking U.S history and math I and II also this saturday.. I signed up for world history but it's just 2 complicated!!... mmm.. also.. is u are not good in Latin, I don't think u should take it... it can diminish ur other scores!!!..

Yes I registered World History and took US history instead, yesterday I saw US history on the site instead of World History because they processed it.
