A friend of mine has an older brother that got his MBA from NYU. I'm not sure if it was Stern, but I'm thinking it can't be because he did HORRIBLY in college. Another friend of my sister just got into NYU graduate school, and she also has no credentials to speak of.

So, is it much easier to get into a non-Stern school at NYU, both undergraduate and graduate?

It completely depends on the school and department within NYU. MBA programs are known to depend on work experience much more than numbers. As an example, it is obviously harder to get into NYU’s medical school than NYU undergrad. And Stern would be both NYU’s business school and undergraduate business program.

In general, absolutely. But, NYU’s highly-ranked schools of Law (#6?) and theater (Tisch) are extremely competitive. And, of course, any med school is tough.
