I'm currently a Freshman at FIU and I want to transfer to FSU for summer. I have a 27 ACT and currently have a 3.00 GPA, but by next semester I'm expecting to have at least a 3.5 GPA. Also, I had a 4.2 HS GPA senior year. Will transferring to FSU be easy to get into?
Thanks!

Transferring into FSU without an AA is difficult and the only way to find out is to apply.

Why didnt you apply for the freshmen term in the beginning? You are more than qualified with your ACT and gpa

^Thats what i was thinking

A 3.0 GPA and a 27 ACT is NOT sufficient to reliably gain admission to FSU as a freshman. Only about 7% of all enrolled FSU freshmen had a GPA as low as 3.0/4.0. You can bet that 7% was mostly first-in-family college freshmen or had other special consideration. Since FSU weighs academic GPA more than ACT/SAT, the 27 is not enough to push an applicant over.

Don’t delude yourself. Check the FSU Common Data Set: http://www.ir.fsu.edu/Common_Data_Set/2010-11/C.html

I wanted to try living in Miami, but I can’t stand FIU and now I want to transfer.

I’m not a freshman. I’m applying as a sophomore transfer.

Freshman or Sophomore doesn’t matter if you haven’t completed your AA. If you aren’t transferring with your AA, you have to meet both the transfer requirements AND the requirements for incoming freshmen.

A 3.0 GPA won’t be all that great… you very well may get denied.

You could apply and if it doesn’t work out go to TCC then gain your AA and try to transfer. That’s what students do who have FSU as their goal.
