some colleges sent a nice email where you click on your choice and it redirects you to website telling them you won’t attend. Others have a link in their portal. Easy. For those with neither do you email admissions and tell them you won’t be attending? We sent full name and birthdate. Hoping that’s enough? We haven’t heard back yet but want to make sure that space and hopefully scholarship money opens up for the next person wait listed or whatever.
It’s more than enough. You’re not obligated to alert colleges you’re not attending (unless you got in ED / ED II)
Yes, a simple email to admissions with your full name and birth date (or, instead of birth date, I will include the ID/application number that was emailed to me when I applied/checked portal) is appropriate and sufficient. Like you, I definitely want to make sure the space and scholarship money if awarded gets put to good use by the next person – we are all in this together.
Yes heard back from one school this morning already and said they have withdrawn him. Short and sweet:-) made me kind of sad but obviously they can choose only one right?
