Is it good to apply to many summer opportunities even if the time overlaps each other?
because I have absolutely no idea what my chances are getting into any one of them

Well you don’t want to apply to any and every program you find, but if you are truly interested in the programs, then yes, apply. If you are so lucky, then you may have to decide which one to attend, but otherwise, perhaps you’ll just get admitted to one and no harm done applying to the others.

Is it good to apply to many colleges even if you can only attend one? Of course.

Same goes for summer programs. Apply to any that interest you.

It depends on what you are applying to. TASP and MITES and that sort of prgram are long shots for nearly every applicant and you need to have alternatives lined up. But most summer programs that charge tuition are not all that selective. If you make an effort with the applications, get a reasonably strong reference and have decent grades (B+ or better) with a rigorous course load, chances are really quite high at most summer programs.

yea i did haha!
