So, is it hard to get into? Or is it like, automatic if you've completed the requirements? Any stats (cause I can't find any)?

it's not hard. It's not automatic, but it's definitely not hard at all. I think the acceptance rate is 85%+.

Yeah, if there are any Oxford or Emory alumni out there, what are the requirements to get into Goizueta Business @ Emory? What if you don't get in for junior year?! What can you do?

The short answer is that they accept 85% of applicants. The average incoming GPA is 3.4 after 4 semesters in the college. There are 4 business prerequisite classes.

However, it's bound to get more competitive as the B school improves in rankings and more students are interested in it. There is also talk of limiting the number of students who are accepted into the B school. If you don't get accepted, then you can just get a degree from the college. Emory has a solid economics department, for example. Many people prefer that degree over a business degree.

I'd check out the Emory Wheel website for a recent article about the b-school and its continued influence in the University. Sorry, I don't have the link.

Think of the application to Goizueta more of a checklist then an "application."

If you have completed the pre-req's (Financial Acct., Decision Science, Business Economics, Business Calc.) with a C+ or higher, and made significant progress towards completion of your GER's, you will be accepted.

The 15% who do not get in are those which the commitee thinks Business isnt right for them. Those are the kids who applied because they didnt know what else to do.

Let me edit what I said above. A C+ or higher is required to be able for the course to be considered for credit as a pre-req.

A 3.4 GPA is the average for students "applying" to Goizueta. A GPA sub-3.0 will definietly harm your chances of acceptance. A 3.0 is relativley easy to maintain for your first two years as most courses are GERs. A 3.4 isn't impossible at all.

Right. Not everyone gets in, but most do. As long as you complete the pre-reqs, have enough credits after two years, and have a GPA above 3.2, you should be fine.
