Is it hard to transfer to Mich? Share your story-Advice please!

Hello. Thanks for reading my thread.

First off, I'm a college student. I was raised in Michigan, but went to an OOS school (low 2nd tier school, ranked 106).
Anyways, I had a bad freshman year. There was one instance where I had a technical screw up and ended up dropping the wrong course that resulted in a D+ on my transcript instead of a B-. My freshman year was a 3.2 (will be 3.4 after I retake the class)

Whenever I read these "chance mes", everyone has a 3.8 or a 3.9, and they're very worried... I only have a 3.2, so do I even have a chance? From my calculations, if I retake and get all A's next semester, Ill get a 3.68, or 3.45 if you count my D+. (BTW, i know I can get all A's because I only recently started working hard. I aced all my finals, and managed to bring all my Cs to A-, B+ ranges with just the final.)

I just joined a research program, plan on joining honors, and I also plan on tutoring in bio, calc, english, and chem...but I'm starting to lose faith. I got ALOT of B's in my freshman science courses, and most of my freshman A's came from blowoffs like world history, english, etc.

this isn't really a "chance me", it's more like an advice thread or a "share your own story" kinda thing.

If you really want to help a guy out, let me know if I can PM you with my stats so that you could chance me.

You guys can be honest and brutal if you want. Just know you’d just be beating a dead horse.
