is it just me or was the calculator portion on the BC test a complete JOKE!

yep. I wouldn't be surprised if i got a 100% on the calculator part

I thought that part was easy but I was screwed for all the other parts so I'm glad.

It's not just you. Everybody else felt the same way. Of course, we're all talking about the MC right?

The hardest of all sections was the MC without calculator part.

Yeah I had trouble on too many multiple choice.

Can't say I appreciated a lot of the long answers either though. sigh

i'm talking about mc and frq. both were too easy

The calculator part was so easy. I finished with maybe 15 minutes left... maybe more.

The non-calculator MC was rough, though.

same for the AB test, the calculator portion seemed very easy. some of them were retarded easy.

Good so it wasn't just me! I was so crunched for time on the non-calculator parts of the MC and FR, but with the calculator, I finished with tons of time to spare. My Calculator did malfunction during the MC, but I was able to fix it and finish the test with 10-15 minutes to spare.

yea the calculator MC was so easy! i doubled check my work and still had 15 minutes left! So i just slept. :D
I didn't like the FRQ's tho, I thought that was harder than the MC in general, or maybe that was just me :-/

the FRQs were hard on AB. I need to get the FRQs back from the teachers so I can see how I did.

im kind of scared that they wont curve it as much now. but it seriously was really easy minus two or three problems on the noncalculator mc.

The part without calculators was far easier than the part with calculators -- it's so easy to enter one incorrect datum in your calculator and make a mechanical error. However, aside from computational errors, only logical errors can throw you off on the other part.

yeah it was such a JOKE. I finished the section like 15 minutes early and was like...is that it? And then I was afraid that I made a LOT of mistakes if it was that easy so I went back and checked my work twice and there was nothing wrong so I looked around the room and all the BC kids had their heads down and were sleeping. But man, that felt good. Now, as monkeys said, they may not be so generous with the curve (which would suck); that's my only concern.

there were a couple of free response portions that I had trouble with so in one, I wrote ETS a note about how they stole all my money and so I took a job as a golf caddy to pay for everything and as a result, I couldn't learn the material that part was asking. And then in another one, I wrote that Spartans don't do math. They kill. And then in the last section I had no clue on, I wrote explicit directions on how to make a mocha frap from starbucks haha. of course, I did everything else but it was funny. A friend of mine started with the sentence "I'm going to West Point." And then, as he progressed, he kept adding words like "B*, I'm going to West Point." then "B* please, I'm going to West Point." and so on and so forth haha.

btw, is it wierd that my school is sending 6 kids to West Point? I thought they only took like 2 from each school.

I finished the non-calc MC with around 15-20 minutes to spare and the calc one with 30 or so, and then 15 or so minutes early on each FRQ section. Seemed too easy o.o

i thought the frqs were easy but i made some stupid mistakes

mc i thought were harder
i didnt get like 3 or 4 on the calc
and like 5 on the non calc

same...i guessed. Probably around 7-8 wrong in total for both sections. Maybe a little more. Just need a 4!

isnt the curve REALLY generous for calc bc
anyone have any stats?

^ I believe its usually around 60-67% for a five, correct me if im wrong though.

I think I got all the MC I did correct. Why was it so easy this year?

I, too, finished with a lot of time left for the calculator section of the multiple choice... although something seemed a little fishy about a few of my answers (as in... I had no idea how the test makers had come up with the "wrong" answers).

Turns out my calculator was in degree mode.
That lowers my raw score by about three points.
D'oh!

Hopefully I'm still okay for a five.
