Is it illegal to not transfer units? I had some units in a different community college and don't want to transfer them to my new one. Is that legal? If it isn't legal, will the 4-year college I transfer to be able to find out? Thanks!

Your new community college will likely need your previous grades for placement.

If you don’t report your previous grades to the four year, they can and probably will find out. It’s not illegal, but it can get your acceptance rescinded. It’s really best not to risk it.

You have to send your transcripts.

Whether or not the credits transfer is up to the place you transfer to. Sometimes they don’t accept any at all.

yea you send transcripts and they review it.

Best to just report all grades.
