Is it mandatory for transfers to attend uci orientation?

<p>The date of my academic advising and orientation are different for me. I can attend my academic advising, but something came up and I can't attend orientation. Or can I show up to my orientation like an hour to two hours late? Is orientation really necessary?</p>

The transfer experience at UCI should be positive and enriching, both academically and socially. This year we are offering new transfer students two options for orientation -Transfer Success and Transfer Student Parent Orientation Program (T-SPOP). Both orientation programs are optional. Academic advising is NOT included in either of these programs, but is mandatory. Please contact the school of your major for academic advising information.

<p>Contact the uci major and let them know. They can schedule something but you need to give them advanced notice. Depending on the UC school, some schools plan out other events during orientation that affect your schedule and finances. You need to ask.</p>

<p>orientation for transfer isnt mandatory but optional. It is also recommended. like Aunt bea said you should contact them and let them know.</p>
