Does Trinity not expect nearly as high of stats as other full need schools expect?

No, it is not you. You are absolutely right. Average SATs seem to be under 1950. Trinity does not seem to attract the level of applicant that other similar schools do and I can’t account for it, as Trinity is a fine liberal arts college. Forty years ago when I was at Wesleyan, it certainly did attract quite a high caliber if student. So, meanwhile, if Trinity appeals to you and you seek financial aid, go for it. The faculty is excellent and as you can see from the website, Trinity offers lots of interesting educational programs.

I haven’t visited Trinity as I’m from the South, and not from a family that can afford cross-country college visits… But I am interested in Trinity (if I don’t get into Oxford@Emory ED, I might apply ED2 to Trinity), and just had to ask that question, because I wasn’t sure if maybe the data I was looking at was somehow wrong (unlikely, but it happens) or if they seek out something more important than test scores, but due to the fact they have no supplement for the Common App either, I don’t think they’re trying to attract a certain type of student (of any type).

A visit is a must. Trinity is in the middle of downtown Hartford ,CT. you will either like it or hate it
