ok so i have two study halls every other day and i get no homework at all and i do all my work in class with the teacher and it’s kinda boring just sitting there with nothing to do.
Then you are very lucky!
I remember my daughter studying up for exams, writing essays, doing SAT/ACT prep etc. until well after midnight most nights - and she was one of the top kids.
To her learning came easy, yet despite having study-hall in her schedule, she had to work extremely hard once she came home from orchestra, chorus, theatre and other EC, to live up to her own standards.
I always wondered how other kids coped who were less fortunate with their academic abilities.
Soooo, if you are able to get all your assignments, studying and preparations done during class - and then have the entire afternoons, evenings and weekends for fun stuff - then you are attending a dream school! Being bored in study hall would be a tiny trade-off for that extreme fortune.
Maybe picking up some good literature from the school library might help, volunteering to tutor struggling students, volunteering to help teachers with class/equipment preparations could be arranged?
A few ideas offhand would be:
- Read a book for pleasure;
- See if there are things at the school you can do during this time (ex. teacher aide, help in office);
- Research options at your CC and/or future career options (eg. if you want to be a police officer look at requirements for police forces in your area);
- You said in another post that you were looking for a job so go through online job placement services such as Indeed.com
- Talk to your guidance counselor about the possibility of adding an elective to your schedule next semester.
