I’m very over whelmed as a junior . It’s april which means AP testing now, the April ACT and every other thing happening in my classes and it’s so overwhelming and just…awful. It feels like I’m going crazy I’m so anxious. I have so much to do I can’t actually start doing it, it’s like I’m stuck. And then I start crying soemtimes because I get THAT stressed. What do I do?
One of my kids struggles with similar feelings. Two things that have helped:
- Write down everything you need and schedule those tasks in a calendar. Be realistic about what can be accomplished in a given time slot and force yourself to prioritize things. Having a plan to follow will help with that feeling of being overwhelmed. Reach out to a friend/parent/counselor if you're having trouble prioritizing things.
- Meditate. Even just 10 minutes a day can help calm and reset your mind.
Also, consider rescheduling the ACT to June or July - or just don’t worry about this one and plan to take it again at a later date.
Hope this helps!
