I recently got for free a black Adidas jacket with the white stripes, and I was wondering if it was O.K for me to wear this in public. I like wearing it, but I don't want to make other people uncomfortable because they think it is weird for some ugly, pathetic person like me to be wearing this jacket. I really don't want to look like I am trying too hard to be cool or something. If anyone (especially women as I am interested in repulsing them less than I currently do) can tell me whether or not it is acceptable for me to wear this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!</p>

<p>Speaking as a girl, if you’re going to tell us about how you think you’re ugly and pathetic and afraid you’ll look more so for wearing a jacket, I’m going to be repulsed by you already for that kind of self-esteem and need to be accepted. That’s just… pathetic.</p>
<p>Edit: don’t mean to sound totally offensive, but really. I can understand “Will I look bad wearing this?” but “Will I look even more pathetic than I am wearing this?”?! Get a serious self-esteem boost if you want to attract girls.</p>

<p>Ok thanks. I was looking for female responses. But I am kind of unsure of where you stand. So let’s say you were to see two unattractive identical twins and one was wearing an Adidas jacket and the other was wearing just a plain t-shirt. Would you find the one wearing the jacket more or less attractive than his twin? Would you interpret his wearing of the jacket as a pathetic attempt to try and disguise his worthlessness as a human being or would you really not think of it as anything more than an intelligent fashion decision? Or maybe you even think Adidas jackets are ugly regardless of who is wearing them? I find them really cool, but perhaps women do not think feel the same way about them that I do (not that women are of one opinion, but there is usually a general consensus). </p>
<p>Anyway, thanks for all the help. I am just nervous some jock is going to make some comment or even if they don’t that I will just embarrass myself and look like an idiot. I should also mention that I am 22 and actually graduated from college this May.</p>
<p>I think you’re unsure of what people are saying; most of us are answering that you should stop seeing yourself as being so pathetic. It’s beyond fashion at this point. If I had to choose one, I’d go for the one with confidence, not the one who’s paranoid as to whether he looks cool or not and appears unaware of how to figure out how he looks after college.</p>
<p>But if you’re just obsessed with fashion – I personally dislike Adidas jackets on most guys, but then again, I’m not the type of girl you’re trying to get.</p>

<p>My boyfriend is not the stereotypical attractive male and when I first met him I didn’t like him at all, but he was so kind to me and polite and so not like the typical college guy that it caught my attention. Attraction can build from other places. I wasn’t physically attracted to him until I liked him for other reasons, and then I noticed how warm his eyes are and what an expressive smile he has and it’s very physically attractive even if I didn’t notice right away. It sounds corny as all hell, but you really don’t have to be the stereotypical hot guy to get a girl to see good things in you. If you like the jacket, wear it! And don’t be so down on yourself! Girls so aren’t worth feeling bad about yourself over, most of us aren’t even that cool. :P</p>

As for the jacket I say go for it no one will judge you because of it, just for the low self esteem that must ooze from your being when you enter a room!</p>

<p>I see you decided to dredge up my most egregious grammar error in order to make me look foolish. The joke is on you, however, as I was trying to write informally when I made that post. I also thought that people might misinterpret my genuine concern over my diminishing intelligence as an attempt to be ironic if I used perfect English when I was expressing this concern. Anyway, because you brought up my past posts, I decided to go through and read them, and I must say that you have definitely mischaracterized my contribution to this forum. While there is plenty of crap like that, I did occasionally have some very insightful and intelligent things to say. Perhaps it was appropriate to bring up that post, though, as it is true that I have become stupider and will never again approach my past brilliancy. </p>
