Is it okay if my SAT scores arrive past SJSU's deadline?

So, I thought the scores would arrive on-time to SJSU (San Jose State University). I took my last SAT in December, under assurance that if I sent SAT scores to all my selected campuses, they would receive the scores on time.

SJSU's deadline was on the 18th but on mySAT, it says: *Your December 2009 scores will be available on December 22, 2009 *. I thought scores were mailed 2 weeks after I took them? I'm worried now..

Should I email them about it? Or just chill? The status says my application is incomplete. :X

I believe I’m screwed. ._. What should I do?

Definitely email them or call. If it is specified on their website that December scores are fine, then you’ll be fine too.

Update: Just found out this on CollegeBoard about SJSU: “# SAT Reasoning / ACT score report due by: 01-DEC” :(

As long as your scores were mailed out before the deadline then I’m sure your okay.

You should contact the person who gave you that assurance, because according to SJSU’s admission website,

[SJSU Admission](http://info.sjsu.edu/web-dbgen/narr/admission/rec-1164.html)

If someone from SJSU or the CSU gave you that assurance, you could email them and ask how you should proceed. If the assurance was not from a SJSU or CSU representative, have your scores sent as soon as possible and hope for the best - it will probably be okay. Good luck!

Yeah, I’m sure my app will be canceled. It was by the 18th of December.

According to College Board, SDSU (San Diego State)'s deadline was 30-NOV. Which is odd, because SDSU never alerted me about that deadline and I can’t find it on their official website… There goes my two back up colleges! =[

Thanks everyone; I think I’ll try giving them a call Monday

It is not a good idea to rely on College Board for specific admissions requirements for any school. They are often years behind in updating information, and have no official standing at any college!

From SDSU’s website:

[SDSU I Want to Apply - Service Area First-Time Freshmen Admission Criteria Fall 2010](http://arweb.sdsu.edu/es/admissions/apply/104/ftfservice.html)

Note: It took approximately 90 seconds for me to locate this information on SDSU’s website, and I had never visited the website before. Colleges “alert” students to their deadlines by clearly stating them on the websites and in admissions publications.

Great! It wouldn’t help to call them anymore, right? My application is probably going to be canceled anyways because the deadlines were clearly stated on their website. I should’ve done more research… when I got SJSU’s msg the deadline was the 18th, I thought it was safe to take dec’s SAT because it only took 1~2 weeks for scores to send.

I’ve also applied to several UC’s and UOP. But those are mostly goal (SC is reach) and dream (Uop, UCB, UCD, UCSD) colleges. Since my fall-back colleges are now gone, which colleges should I look into?

EDIT: I believe the TAG (community to UC guarentee) applications were due long ago in sept/november…

Oh, if the deadline was before you even took the SAT and/ or before the SAT site even mailed the material then your application will likely be canceled.

Gosh, I’m confused (I’m not thinking clear theses days anyways…): I sent my SAT scores to SDSU and SJSU on December 5th. I took the SAT in early November – got my scores in late November. Pleeeze tell I’m ok… anyone?

bump - help!

Call them.
If they say it’s ok.
Put it in writing.

How should we say it? “I didn’t know, so I ended up sending it late. Can my application still be considered? (Rushed SAT?)” Omg, I hate myself for this ;__;

Both admission offices are closed until January! My SAT scores were rushed, and my app status still says pending. I really hope they accept rushed SAT scores…

@Petiza, did you get to call before the 21st?
