Hey guys, so I have a D in honors pre-calc right now. Do you think I should drop down a level to pre-calc regular? Or do you think that'll hurt me in the long run? I've heard people in my school say pre-calc regular is really easy, and all my friends have an A.
What do you guys think I should do? Thanks.

If it doesn’t show on your record, then definitely.

A B in an honors class is more impressive than an A in a regular class, but a D in an honors class isn’t. If you’re struggling that much it isn’t a big deal to drop down; it seems totally worth it. It might hurt you slightly to not be in honors, but not as much as the D will hurt you. Dropping down will also let you focus more on your stronger classes, which is always nice. So just drop into regular where you can do well, and focus on doing the best you can in that level as well as trying to show you’re challenging yourself in other areas.

It does show on your record, at least for my school. After 15 days of the semester, if you get special permission to drop, it says “withdrawn due to failure” so if the same thing applies to your school, decide wisely.
