I've only taken the ACT right now
but I'm just wondering if I have to take the SAT as well. Do colleges look at both scores or just one of them?

Most colleges will look at either score, so take the one you feel most comfortable with. In my case, I mostly took the ACT because where I'm from (Michigan) it's preferred. Also, I was more comfortable taking the ACT than the SAT. I only took the SAT Subject Tests once, and that was only because one of the schools I applied to required it. But anyway, colleges will look at either one, so it doesn't matter. Hope this helps!!

As said above, most colleges look at one or the other with no (purported) preference. Nonetheless, the SAT tends to be more associated with the East Coast (& Ivy League schools) and the West Coast while the ACT is more associated with the Midwest and the South.

You can take either test. SAT or ACT is fine.

someone said a 2200 SAT looks better than a 36 ACT, well IMO hes wrong because it doesn't matter what it looks like, Colleges use a formula to determine eligibility for admission,36 is 2300-2400.(Admission officer told me this)
