my goal is to score 2300+ and my current range is high 1800- low 1900, these are my current resources: ( I have a job, that's how I can afford all this)

-Rocket Review Revolution
-Direct Hits Vol. 1 and 2
-TI 89 and TI Nspire Touchpad
-Gruber's math
-Blue Book
-Some ******** prep classes that aren't helping (wasting about 25 hrs a week for the next 5 weeks)
-Summer ends in 7 weeks
- Sat is in Oct

should i get anything else to supplement my study stack, perhaps Chung's math book? also, if i put in 100 % effort into all these books what point increase should I expect

Yes it is possible

It depends. Was the 1900 without any practice? If so then possibly. Personally, I improved from a 2000 without any practice to about 2250-2350 on practice tests after 20 practice tests + 5 psat tests. Just make sure that you understand completely why you got every question wrong: especially with the writing section. For awhile, I was scoring in the 600’s in writing and then I realized that there were certain dangling modifiers that I never noticed and so I spent about an hour on wikipedia and increased my scores to low 700s right away.

I suggest giving this thread a read, especially the grammar section: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/955109-silverturtles-guide-sat-admissions-success.html

what is your current cr/m/wr?

cr= 660 (85% of my mistakes are in vocab), m=670, wr= 580

You shouldn’t be using Grubers for your math score. Dr. Chungs would be more appropriate IMO

Same situation here except I got a 1740 the first time and want to raise it to 2000+. I got the blue book, barrons 2400, kaplans purple book of practice sats(I’m taking a kaplan course that’s how I got it) anyone suggest anything else to help me reach my goal?? I got a 560 in math and that was my weakest section, what could I do to improve that?

For Critical reading I personally didn’t do any “extra” practice besides the practice tests. Instead, I went to the library and found non-fiction books that interested me. Then, I simply read them and asked myself the sort of questions that the SAT would ask, such as “what is the overall tone of this page?” etc. Doing so my score went up from 650 to around 700-740.

Math is innate. I haven’t practiced it at all, and I get 700+ every time. Not much to say here :o.

With writing, force yourself to love grammar. Not only will it improve your SAT, but it will be useful throughout your scholastic career. Personally, I’m a big latin geek so I indirectly got proficient at grammar through doing something I like. Other than that, make sure to not read the sentences as a sentence but rather classify everything in your mind as singular/plural. Often times I like to simplify names to just “man/woman” to make it as simple as possible. Avoid comma splicing-comma’s don’t separate independent clauses. Also, don’t let the unnecessary phrases conflict with singular/plurals. Make sure that you realize what the antecedent is in every sentence.
