Is it possible for me to transfer to MIT?

Hi to everyone on College Confidential,
I'm an undergraduate sophomore at Purdue University who wants to transfer to MIT.
I am majoring in math and computer science. The prime reason that I want to transfer is that MIT is concentrated on mathematics and science, while Purdue University's concentration is in engineering. MIT is offering research opportunities for undergraduate students, while it is rare to find one in Purdue.
In addition, the winter at Purdue is too cold for me. I used to live in a place which rarely has snow in the winter.

So here is my situation:
***************Test scores:***************
TOEFL:101/120
SAT1 (I have score for SAT1 but it's not that good. Since I am an international student, I can choose to not submit it. Is it better to take it again and submit it?)
SAT2 MATH:800
SAT2 PHYSICS:750
High School GPA:Not available(I studied in a high school in China.)
College GPA:3.92/4.0
***************Scholastic distinctions:***************
2010:
Virginia Tech Regional Mathematics Contest –Rank 13 of 575
Purdue University, Problem of the Week - Certificate of Merit
2009:
China National High School Math League - Second Class Honor
2008:
China National High School Math League - Second Class Honor
China Northern Mathematics Olympiad (CNMO) - Third Class Honor
***************Extracurricular activities:***************
1. I'm one of the officers in Purdue math club.
2. I am a regular volunteer at Purdue University.
3. I am a member of freshman honor society, national honor society.
4. I am a member of robotics club.
***************My questions:***************
(1)I took a java course at the end of my freshman year and it was the first time I learned computer science. I got a B+ on it and I'm wondering if this could really hurt my chances as a transfer student. (I was taking a challenging politics course at the same time, and they did not mix well.)
(2)I applied to transfer to MIT last year and I failed. Does that mean that it is likely for me to be rejected this year neither? I am wondering what I can do to make my application better.

Thank you for reading my situation.

Yo ,

I am also trying to transfer but I am an undergrad freshman at U of Miami. I applied as a freshman and got rejected and I am gonna give it one more go because of their research oppurtunities.

I don’t think they are going to reject you because of one grade, it might be for a multitude of reasons, at least that’s what they say for freshman applications.
2.They review every attempt seperately, so you have the same chance of failure as before.

As for your indirect question of whether you shouldtake the SAT1 again, I have no idea.

Also, MIT is a cold place so I doubt if the snow thing will actaully mean anything.

So may the force be with you, or as they say in physics, may the accelerated mass be with you.

Don’t talk about the weather in your essay, I can tell you that much.

Their transfer rate is under five percent so its really not worth applying unless you have perfect scores and stand out in some way.

Cambridge won’t be much better in the winter.

Agreed.
