Is it possible ot Double Major or Major and double minor and graduate in 3 years?

So I am about to begin registering for classes at the college I am enrolling in, and I hope to be able to graduate in three years. I have about fifteen hours of credit as a result of my AP tests, and I was intending on taking between fifteen and eighteen credit hours for the fall and spring semesters, with another eight to twelve during the summer. What I was primarily wondering was, is it possible to double major (the two majors with be History and Political Science) or major in history with two minors (Political Science and Economics) and still graduate within three years. I wondered if it was possible because the fields of History and Political Science would have a lot of overlap in curriculum. I understand the issues with not wanting to overwork myself or drive my quality of work down, but in theory, is this possible?

It would greatly depend on the minimum credits required to graduate by your school, credit loads required by each major, and how much the majors allow you to count one class for the other (and vice versa). Once you are able to determine all those factors, it should be fairly easy to do the math to see how many credits you would need to take per semester, which would therefore determine if it is possible.

Actually, they wouldn’t. History and political science are both social sciences, but they are not the same. The methods and requirements are different. For example, the history and political science majors at University of Washington have no overlap.

Why not major in one and then just take the classes in the other 1-2 that really interest you and that you can fit in in 3 years? Or you can just graduate in 3.5-4.
