Is it possible that my AP Biology Exam was graded incorrectly?

I just called and payed the $8 fee to receive my score by phone and it said I got a 2. There is no way this could be correct became I am positive that I got a 5. Can it be possible that it is just a phone mistake. Is it possible that the score is incorrect?

It’s very rare…

What makes you think you got a 5? (Not trying to be smarmy, I am just curious of how you got to that conclusion.)

It’s possible, of course. If you really feel that way, and you did very well in the class (ended with 90+) then I don’t think it would be a bad idea to pay for a multiple choice rescore.

If you went from a 5 to a 2 I don’t think it was graded incorrectly. My guess is you made a bubbling error or something early on so that most of your multiple choice were wrong because of it. Or maybe you incorrectly labeled the essays and didn’t get points for 2 of them because you switched them around.

I think runallday4 is right …
and since they rarly make mistakes ( not saying its impossible)
I would take ap bio self study or take the class itself all over again, or take it dual enrollment

I agree, you got a 2, end of story. Like stated above, you could have messed up your answers, but you can always take it again.

Collegeboard does make mistakes, probably more often than you might think. I’ve heard of cases where they’ve lost or otherwise misplaced the FR books, hence the entire AP score is based only on the MC. That can really tank your grade.

If you’re confident that you did better than a 2, then it doesn’t hurt to ask for your MC to be rescored. There’s little chance of your score going down any further.

You can also request your FR packets back. However, FR booklets cannot be rescored.
