Is it possible to go from a 1720 to 2000+ by Oct?

I got a 1720 in April, and I at least want a 2000 in Oct, so I can have a chance at Ivy league schools. My EC's and GPA are fine.. it's just the standardized tests I am worried about.

I plan on using sparknotes SAT test prep, and the blue book throughout the summer. Studying everyday for at least two hours.

Any advice?

of course it is possible.

if u study REALLY hard this summer, a 2200+ is possible..........

Yeah, it's very possible. Like Mountain Dew said, if you study REALLY hard and set your mind to it, you can score a lot higher than a 2000.

Studyworks is very good to do this.

Should I sign up for this?

$150 isn't thaaattt much... but still, will it help at all?

yea u can....my friend went from a 1550 to a 1880 so you can do it

I think you can do it. I went up from a 1700 to an 1890 without studying. I just did two practice tests the two days before and I also took 2 ap tests the two days before, so I had already had like 3 hour testing for two straight days. I went up from a 500 on CR to 540, 600 on W to 630, and from a 600 to a 720 on M. I took a lot of advanced courses this year and I especially loved math.

everythins's possible. impossible is nothing!
allllllllllllllot of studying should do the trick
good luck :)

wait, instead of buying the course for $150, isn't it better to buy the STUDYWORKS ANSWER KEY TO THE COLLEGE BOARD'S "OFFICIAL SAT STUDY GUIDE" for $39.95?
http://www.studyworks.com/aids/books.php

280 point increase is totally doable. We regularly have student go up 350+ points. FYI, the solutions to the REAL SAT's are also available as part of the College Board's online test -

$150= 20 visits to a chinese buffet
$150= Ipod

its a lot of money...but computerized tests are kinda convenient. I dont think its worth it though.

but if $150=good score on SAT=more chances at a better college=more $$$ in future > $150

it's all about if it helps or not

i think there are cheaper ways to go about it though.

I bought the testmasters solution guide, If I recall correctly it was definitely cheaper than $39. (and for all you california residents, have a relative or a friend buy it and ship it to you)

is it possible to order testmasters solutions to collegeboard book, without being a resident of california or having relatives in california. Is it possible to order the book from new york?

Yes. I had somebody order it for me from another state, then they shipped it to me separately.
