I recently got my ACT score from the April 1st test date. I got a 26, a 7 point jump from my freshman year. I would really like to get a 28-30. I am a good test taker and finished all the sections before time was called. The only thing that crippled me was the math section, I got a 24.

composite: 26
Reading: 29
Math: 24
English:26
Science: 25
Writing 8/12: 24

I am not sure whether I should take it again in June or September.
I am considering getting a tutor. I feel like I did my best and won't improve any further.

Yes!!! I got a 26 in October and 27 in March but on the April one I got a 30 and that was only with taking like 2 practice tests (I was lazy I’ll admit it) if I (a MODERATELY smart good test taker) can get a 26 up to a 30 then you so can just have a good attitude and work hard!! There are some strategies that I used that really helped me though like the 5-6-7 method in science

YES!!! I’ve only taken the ACT one (April 23) so I don’t have my scores back, but based on my practice tests, it is possible!! In the span of a month, I took 8 practice tests (I know it’s a lot, but it is worth it). I started off with a 27. By the end, I was easily making high 31’s (I made 2 31.25’s). That is a 4 point difference. When I took the real one, I felt A LOT better than those practice tests, so I’m fairly confident I made a 32. So if I can do a 4/5 point increase in just a month, so can you (especially if you have more time than I did).
