<p>No, it might not give you a leg up on admissions, especially since the concept of holistic admissions means that they will also look at your socioeconomic background (parental employment, location of your school, quality of neighborhoods and associated services, etc). However, if your nationality (or heritage? I’m not sure if you were born there from the vagueness of your posts) has had a profound impact on you, then you can weave it into the personal narrative that you present to the admissions committee.</p>
