I am currently scoring 29-31 and was wondering if it were possible to raise my score up to a 34+. I’m planning on taking at least a practice test a day. Is that advisable? I have the time to study ACT for like 8 hours a day. Is it possible?
When you say “is it possible” did you mean is it possible to study for ACT 8hrs a day? Then no, if you go to school, no.
But from 31 to 34, yes, basically 12 points improvement; not impossible
I’d say it depends… If you know your material and are just struggling with timing or a few concepts, then definitely. I went from a 32 to a 35 in 3 days. However, if you don’t understand crucial parts of the test, such as grammar rules or math concepts, it’ll be a bit harder for you… although not impossible. The main thing you need is a plan of action. “How will I raise my score? Will I need to patch up my math? Do I need to study additional grammar rules? How will I acquire this information? Will I buy a book or use the internet? Which websites will I use?”
I went 30.5 to 34 without prep, so you certainly should be able to with prep.
I would recommend one of the online test preps - short period of time to prep dictates learning test’s tricks and effective test taking strategy. D used one and raised score by 5 points, but she had 6 weeks. Good luck.
