I’m a smart student, I just can’t do timed tests.

Definitely… with practice, tons of it, you may even be able to hit 30.

You could do it, but a 3 point increase is tough to do. It definitely helps to practice. Get hold of some practice tests and treat them as real, giving yourself a time limit. Then study the questions you get wrong.

Just work hard. You may be able to do that. My D’s practice score went up 4 points in 6 month. There is little room to improve for my D, but you still have plenty of room.

Always think the lower your score comes out the easier it is to bring it up. And you’ll find yourself more confident in how you study and why you do it. I’m around a 24 and for this past ACT i studied alot and kept in mind that i can only do better its always possible! Im shooting for a 27/28 too !

Absolutely, just do a couple of practice tests. I’m sure if you can find the time to do 2 or 3 practice tests, find what testing strategy works best for you, and learn all the math skills needed/improve your math skills that you already know, then you’ll be able to raise it 4-5 points.

I actually raised mine to a 30 from a 27 without even studying. The experience from already taking the test is what upped my score; I’m sure the experience you’ve gained will help you as well.

To be honest, buddy! I am a student from China, I think the only difficult part for me is the reading test. The rest of the test can be improved through practicing, and reviewing is quite important. So, good luck!

It is definitely possible to raise your ACT score 3 points in this time frame. In December of last year I scored a 27, I studied a little bit off and on and had a ACT Prep class in school that my school offered I got a 30 In April. I just took it again hoping that I went up, but just keep a positive outlook, practice, some of the things are easy to fix such as Math brush up on some basic skills and your score goes up. English just make sure you look into some rules of grammar and that score should go up. Science and Reading in my opinion will be the hardest to raise just Practice, Practice, and Practice and they will go up. Your score WILL go UP my dude, don’t stress.

Your scores are slightly above where the average person scores. I think you would see a lot of improvement by getting these two books:

“The ACT for Bad Test Takers” this book specifically addresses your biggest problem, time. This is a great strategy guide to read before you really get started studying because it will tell you how to proceed.

“The Real ACT” this book has 5 real act tests which is by far the best out of any prep book. Why? Because they are actual ACT problems and not artificially created ones. This book gives pretty good explanations on most of the problems as well which is great for someone doing it on their own.

Go through both of these books and i think you will see a great improvement by December.
