Hi everyone! Im currently attending a community college in California, my gpa is a 3.8, and my major is business. For as long as long as I can remember UCLA has been my dream school. Im basically at my 2nd year of cc, and really want to transfer at UCLA fall of 2019. Im currently working two jobs, and for this reason I couldn’t really take as much as credits as I would want to each semester, I looked at my education plan and basically after spring semester I would still be short on one class, and its a class I actually need for my major its an ECON 121 class, I just figured I’d take it in the summer. So will UCLA still accept my credit for summer in order for me to begin fall of that same year.?
There’s usually not a set plan that the school does in these situations. You won’t find out if they’ll take the summer class until results are out, in which they’ll put the summer class as part of your admission contract. But for business econ I doubt they’ll let it slide- they even reject students for leaving a single prereq for spring for this major.
If you have a class planned for summer, they ignore it when it comes to making a decision on your admission. It’s like it wasn’t even there. But if you happen to get admitted anyway, you can take the course that summer prior to matriculation and it will still count.
