UC Davis to UCLA Business Econ

Hi. I am currently a freshman at UC Davis that wants to transfer to UCLA. The major I am interested in is Business Economics but I am open to other options as well (as long as its at UCLA). I have completed 32 semester units at community college and will finish the remaining units for the 90-unit minimum for transfer at Davis. By spring of 2009 I will have finished the transfer requirements for the business econ major (Calc 1, Calc 2, Econ 1+2, Accounting 1+2, 1 writing course) as well as have finished the General Education requirements at UC Davis.

I have a currently have a 4.0 GPA at the time of submitting the UC transfer application and intend to keep a high "A" average.

I am aware that Business Economics is a very popular and competitive major at UCLA and that community college students have a priority over other UC transfer students. My question is, is it even feasible to transfer to UCLA as a Business Economics major from another UC or would it be smarter to apply as another major (for the sake of getting into UCLA)

Thanks
