I looked up the results for the March SATs and the results were horrible. I received a 1620 (600M 480CR 540W) and I'm very unsatisfied with the results I have gotten. I don't know if there is hope for me to raise my score to 2000+ and if there is hope, please give me advices and suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I’ve got two words for you: Blue Book. If you don’t already have it, get it now and start pounding away at those practice tests. Be sure to go over every single answer you missed and figure out how to do the problem. The Internet is your friend; every answer to every question in the Blue Book can be found with Google. By the time you’re through with the book, I can guarantee you that you will raise your score at least a hundred points.

I took the SAT in December as an 8th grader, and I got a 1710, and since the. I’ve been motivated to boost my score. I took practice test #1 recently, and I got an 1890-1930, depending on the essay. That just proves that ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE, can improve with the motivation to do well and just one little book (well, a big book, actually).

Good luck! :)

So I just need to do a lot of practice tests?

Yep, practice is all you need.

Well, I’ve always felt everyone has their natural carrying capacity.
Or else, everyone could practice and get 2400s.
That would make the SAT invalid.

Your potential could be 1800 so don’t be sad if you dont get 2200.

You can definitely work your way up to a score near or over a 2000. Around 8 months ago, I scored a 1660 on a practice test. With some work on writing and math, my score increased to a 1950. With a little more work I’m sure i’ll be in the 2000 range. Gl on your way up to your target score!

I am sorry but I disagree with the fact that everyone has their natural carrying capacity. I partly agree because it is true to some extent but I have seen people improve massively (not just in SATs but in general) when previously there was no hope for them. All you have to do is set up a good work ethic and discipline yourself very strictly. You will get there eventually if you really want to
