Is it risky to resend essays?

I'm reapplying to a few schools as a transfer that I applied to last year for freshman admissions. All schools had previously accepted me except for one. Some of the questions in their transfer application for the essay are similar to last year's questions for the freshman application. Would it be risky to resend my essays from last year? They answer the questions well, but would the schools think I am lazy for not writing new ones?

Also, my essays were written in a very unique way which I think made me stand out quite distinctly. Do you think they would look down upon me if they noticed I reused my creative idea from last year instead of coming up with a new one, because I doubt I can think of something as creative as I did for last year's essay.

I did and I got accepted to Michigan.

Some schools keep your applications, regardless of whether they say they do or not. If you get unlucky, the same admissions officer might read your essay again, and look into it. At school, the act of reusing the same essay for different classes is considered plagiarism. All in all, it's not worth it, I wouldn't recommend it.

anyone else have an experience with this when they reused an essay?

when did you get accepted to michigan?

I got accepted for the winter term, starting January 3rd. I got accepted about a 5 weeks ago.

They really discouraged this at Vanderbilt. Their opinion was that they expected see growth and experience reflected in the essay above what they would expect from a senior in high school. Plus they pulled the old application to compare.
