<p>I've received an e-mail from a collegeboard representative who's asking me to give him my SAT registration number - just wanted to ask if it's safe to give it to anyone else? Do I have to keep it private anyway?</p>

but even if he’s from collegeboard, he should be able to put in your names and get your segistration number right away??? don’t have to ask you?
however, I think he probably wants to verify that you are that person</p>
<p>Hey OP, that’s kind of strange and I don’t know that I would send it if I were you. I’m not entirely certain what someone would even do with that number, but I can’t imagine why the College Board - which should have access to your registration number anyway - would be asking for it. Something just strikes me as kind of off, but maybe I’m just paranoid… :/</p>
