Is it smart to double major at sc?

Okay,

I was looking at SC's majors..not really a lot of them. But i really was looking for a biology, psychology major combination...

But, then again I wasn't sure because I plan on going to med school, and I am just wondering if these will fulfill my requirements for it..

I was wondering the same thing so I’m going to bump this.

Not sure what OP is referring to (not a lot of majors?) since USC has over 100, but you may like majoring in Neuroscience. The professors are awesome, and many pre-med students do.

Double majoring as a premed is fine as long as you fulfill the requirements for doing the MCAT and future med school. My D knows premeds who are double majoring…in Bio Sciences and something else.

I’m sorry Mad bean I mean like not a lot of diversity of the majors.

I am considering both UCLA and USC, and ucla has a major that I really really like.

it was biopsychology, and psychobiology.

I really just want to combine the two, but not having to do two different majors.

What exactly is Neuroscience about?

[USC Neuroscience: Undergraduate Program: Curriculum](http://www.usc.edu/programs/neuroscience/undergraduate/curriculum.html)

i suggest taking a look around the USC website… all the majors and their curriculums are listed.

jose

thanks for that link! It really helps a lot. Now I understand. Neuroscience is like Bio and Psychology combined right?

correct, and if you choose your electives with med school in mind you can cover a lot of the “highly recommended” courses while receiving credit for your major
