Is it stupid to worry about minors?

I'd love to attend Cornell for a variety of reasons. I'm really leaning towards CALS, but none of the minors at CALS are appealing to me at all. I plan on majoring in a science, most likely bio, and the other minors really don't interest me. I've looked at CAS, but feel the same way. Is it silly to worry about the minor right now when I'm still only a rising senior? What should I do?

when you say that you feel the same way about CAS, do you mean you aren’t interested in any of the CAS minors either? that’s where most of the minors are!
you aren’t obligated to even have a minor, so if you just want to do bio and take some other courses that do interest you, that’s completely fine as well.

You don’t need a minor, so there’s really nothing to worry about.

But quite a few minors are available to students across colleges, so you aren’t limited to CALS minors. Full list here: [Cornell University - Academics - Undergraduate Minor Fields of Study](<a href=“Fields of Study | Cornell University”>Fields of Study | Cornell University)
