Is it too early to start prepping?

I am currently a freshman in high school, and I've already started prepping for the SAT, ACT Plus Writing, and PSAT. Is it too early for this? People have told me I'm obsessing, but I really want to get into a good school. I've made a 177 on the PSAT I took this winter and a 2200 on a practice SAT made by the college board.

Thanks

It’s never too early.

college board is changing the sat in 2016

Peezus, do we know what the changes will be?
And more importantly when in 2016? Fall or Spring? I plan to take the SAT in the fall and then again if I don’t get a high enough score along with the ACT.

Read. Read. Read. And work hard in your math classes and on any writing assignments in other classes. That will do at least as much as you can do studying prep books this year and next year. Start worrying about prep with prep books near the end of sophomore year so you are ready for the PSAT in the fall of Junior year.

spring 2016. I have no clue, it could be out of 3200 by then (although I doubt it). the PSAT for fall 2015 and sat for early 2016 are being changed. good luck studying for a completely new test, the silver lining is that curves will probably be spectacular (the highest curves ever for the current SAT are from 2005/2006, when the current version was first introduced)

WHAT ! too early? C’mon. It’s brilliant to start early
