I'm thinking about applying for Fall 2011.
Is it still possible to apply and get in for cloyne court or cz?

You can check the wait lists here:

[Fall Waiting List Main](http://berkeleystudentcooperative.org/component/content/article/25/149-waiting-list-main)

But a late application from a 0 point applicant will be at the back of the queue. You may get preference over other 0 point applicants for EOP or other preferences. Or you can live in or board at a BSC co-op during the summer to gain a fraction of a BSC point to move ahead of all 0 point applicants.

Yeah I think you can still get in. You are going to be a junior, no? You get priority @ Cloyne and thats how I got a spot. You will have a better chance if you are a guy. Womens waitlist is long! Hope to see you next fall. Fellow clone.

I heard if you purchase a meal plan that automatically gives you 0.5 points which puts you really high on the list.

you guys are awesome, thanks for the heads up. i’m transferring from cc so i think so right? i’m looking at my on campus housing offer (unit 3 double) and i’m not sure if i want to pay an extra 6k to live with students right out of high school at berkeley, besides cloyne court just seems fit for me although i haven’t seen it yet… i assume i’d meet more people by living on campus but im still not a big fan of the unit 3 building and i wish i had more feedback about on campus living. what are your guys’ thoughts on on campus vs coops?

generalwisdom, what’s your story and could you please tell me how you feel / about cloyne court in a couple sentences or so? i’m oh so curious :)

If you can, try to visit. I can tell you what it was like when I lived there, but it would be irrelevant now. However, the smaller co-op houses are generally cleaner than the bigger ones.

Cloyne Court and several other co-ops are on the north side of campus, near the engineering buildings. Unit 3 is a block south of the area where humanities courses tend to be.

Just be sure to visit that place before you turn in the contract. Its quite a unique place. I chose to live there cuz its close to class and there are interesting people there. The rumors make it sound bad, but its far from the truth.

You get 0.5 points for purchasing a meal plan? How do I do that? I’m currently on the waiting list.

If you board at one of the houses you can get points, and this will probably help you since most people on the waitlist have zero points. Boarding means that you pays for meals at the house and also do something like 2 hours of work per week. If you’re in Berkeley during summer, just go to the office and ask about it.

Also, you get priority at Cloyne if you’re a junior or senior.
