is it too late for me to pursue film?

so, I'm 17 and I already applied to all my colleges but don't know where I've been accepted. I didn't apply to schools based on film, because I've only recently realized that I might be interested. Is it too late? Is it incredibly hard to get into film graduate schools? which of my colleges would be good for a double major in film and psychology (I have in the past been incredibly interested in child psychology)

Brown is the only one I know of that has a film program, but I think Vassar might.

I'm think most if not all of those colleges should have some type of film program/major. I know Chicago has a cinema and media studies major. Do some research into which colleges programs would fit you best so that you know which one you'd like to attend come decision time.

Wesleyan has a very highly regarded film program, and just recently opened a state of the art builidng for film.

vassar has a fairly good film program... wesleyan has an awesome one, but it only starts junior year (you have to apply for it once you're within the school)... the others might have film programs, but they're lesser known (and not very reputable). I always heard Brown had a film program but when I looked on their site I found nothing on it, so who knows?

Here's the deal on applying to the film major at Wesleyan: http://www.wesleyan.edu/filmstudies/major_applying.html

Brown students basically take film courses at RISD along with their own cross-disciplinary "Modern Culture and Media Studies" major. I think in order of prestige the departments would be ranked as follows:

Wesleyan U
Vassar

Then a huge drop:

Brown U
Brandeis U
U of Chicago
Tufts U
Haverford
Grinnell
Binghamton U

transfer. if not work on it and develop it during college. take classes at an institute? start a club/organization at whatever school you are going to.
