I'm a senior at a public high school, and have applied to several colleges. I am also a part of Varsity Track team, and my coach selected me to be a captain last week. While I do realize most colleges are already done with their admission decisions, I wonder if it would still be a good idea to mention this to colleges just so they know what I am up to (and since being a captain of sport is a pretty significant EC, I feel like mentioning it would help my chances).

So, should I send letters to colleges about my Track Captain or is it way too late to do so? If it's too late, do you think I can perhaps use this information to appeal my decision?

Again, thanks for answering and I hope everybody here has an acceptance letter waiting for them soon :)
