Is it too late to submit new SAT score? Should i send my old SAT score?

I am an international student looking for Finance University (undergraduate) in the US. I have recently taken SAT in November and achieve score just average in the SAT score percentile of undergraduates in my target schools. I want to retake to improve my chances in January 22nd. However, the deadlines to submit SAT scores is Feb 1st 2011. Will the schools accept my new score which will be delivered by collegeboard at Feb 10 ( 9 days after the deadline). If yes, should i send in my November score for the application first or shouldn't I? because there might be a chance they will reject me solely on my November score and do not look at my Jan score when it arrives?

This is a good question. As a fellow senior filling out applications, my best advice would be to email the international admissions rep from the school and tell them about your situation. Then pose the same question you did in here to him or her. (Emailing admissions reps aren’t really scary, just be sure to remain formal and spell check your email).

Some of the schools I’ve visited say your application must be be by the deadline and the all other materials (like recommendations and additional SAT scores) can be sent and recieved a little after the deadline (but not too late!). Other schools want absolutely everything before the deadline.

But again, my biggest piece of advice would be to email the international admissions rep (you should be able to find the email information on the university website) as soon as possible.

Best of luck!

Thank you for your comment. I’m looking for Finance undergraduate courses. My current target is Pennsylvania State Uni. Is it a good Finance school in your opinion? with my SAT score around 1780 what are my chances to get in?
