Is it too late?

Hey yall ( sorry if this is the wrong section)

I really want to attend either UCLA/Cal; my academics are up to par with UCLA/Cal level, but my extra curriculars are not. Is it too late for me to start? I currently have no leadership positions in any clubs and have only played one sport ( i know, i know, i am really introverted!)

I plan on cramming this summer with a ton of programs and summer classes and internships. Do you think this will suffice for extracurriculars? I basically will be off my butt for the whole summer just to get strong extracurrics, however i am unsure if this will make up for 2-3 years of nothing. What do you guys think?

i apologize for the poor grammar/typing/whatever it's 2 am and i hope i got my point across

I think you can figure this out for yourself. What have you been doing when you aren’t in class or studying?

Why don’t you figure out a way to give back to the world this summer. Cram it w compassion instead of “programs.”

Typically EC’s started senior year aren’t considered very valuable, since colleges mostly prize commitment and achieving leadership positing (which “cramming lots of things in a few months” just doesn’t allow you to do).
Look at what you’ve been doing with all your free time and turn to these as your source of leadership and ECs. Increase your commitments to the clubs/sports/activities you’re already a part of and create a club based on what you do the rest of the time.

Skip summer school, that just makes you look boring year-round. Internships are good. You can do a lot of stuff in one summer actually. Restore an old muscle car, do a police ride along in a bad neighborhood, write a book. You have to stand out.
