Next year, I'll be a junior and I've finally become focused and realized what I need to do - focus on what I like and what my passions are. This will be the first year that I'm getting really involved.. is it too late, though? Will admissions officers look down on the fact that I'm just beginning now? I've taken the hardest classes possible so far, w/ the exception of 3 in my freshman yr. I've joined Model U.N, literary magazine, debate & the environmental club. I think I should quit debate to deeply pursue global issues, writing & the environment.. What are your thoughts? Too late?

I don’t know which philosophy to believe… Should I just do what I love and am interested in, or try to appeal to college admissions?

In my optimistic opinion, it’s never too late. Realistically, you’re not going to discover your passion on the drop of the dime, and HS is a time of decisions, but also a time of exploration. If you can portray that passion in your applications, and show growth, schools will like that.

Thanks:] I think i’ve found some of my passion…

i’m jealous. congratulations. pursue it as far as you can!
