I have read and heard this, is it a rumor or true? That bodes well for any of us who were happy with our scores, which equates to the vast majority on this particular board but not the average kid for sure. I know in my school SAT scores are down almost 15% from the last two years, thankfully I fell into the top 20% which made me happy..........just curious if anyone knows about this and cares to elaborate if they have any solid info. Thanks...........

The new test is very different from the old test. The sections are longer, there is a new writing test and the analogy section was removed. Focus on your interests, personality, needs and so forth and LESS on college rankings and stats per se. Focus on being HAPPY in a school where you can SUCCEED and thrive.

I know kids at UNC Chapel Hill who went there because of its rankings and they bombed.....too big and too much partying goes on there.

BE CAREFUL.

well it is true in our school district 2 schools with 250 each of seniors and the main one of 400 kids. Yes significantly lower than last years 2007 kids.

Our school first time in a LONG time did not have one NMSF.

fried I think you misread or misunderstood my post, I was simply asking if this was true nothing more, and nothing about the schools i want to go to or will attend, not sure where that came from. Simply asking if what I read or heard was true. Thats all!:)

The SAT annual reports come out each August. They give the definitive answer to your question.

Our school had 26 NMSF unlike last year with 22 NMSF. It all depends and SAT scores are not drecreasing but rather, some of the SAT lower scorers(not all) are moving to the ACT. So I think the average SAT score should increase.

One high school is not the whole country, as I think your AP statistics teacher will remind you.
