I have decided after getting more rejections than I’d like (from matches and safeties alike) to wait until April 2nd to view any more results that are to be delivered via email/portals to me. Is this unwise? Do colleges know when you check or is that just me overthinking/supposing that even matters or will affect any change in decision 8-} 8-}
MY school closes April 2nd and by then I would have applied to my local university (I am int’l) and for scholarships with some confidence left in me. April 1st is when I anticipate my final decision from any college. Until then I receive at least one decision everyday. Also I thought it would keep me on track for my end of term module and mock exams which constitutes a portion of my external assessment by a foreign examination body.
Nobody cares when you check your decisions. The only thing that matters, if you are admitted to a college you’re able to to attend, is getting in your acceptance by May 1.
Just do you.
thanks guys. April 2 it is!
Whoaa haha I’ve actually decided to do the same thing as you and was going to ask the same question!
haha great minds!
I admire your self control. I wanted to wait like that (because man, all those waitlist/rejections can be discouraging) but my curiosity got the better of me.
What if you are WL does it matter when you accept the spot? Especially for Tier 1 non Ivies, are they going to think, ah he waited until after Ivy day as opposed to accepting the spot immediately. I do not know, just wondering
What if a college is asking for more information before making a decision?
(this kinda late i know but…) I recommend you supply that info!
i dont think so…? i waited until all my decisions where in to view anything so i dont think it should matter- especially if they have no proof you applied to ivies
mine almost did! but the fear of all rejections and the painful process of hoping each time a letter came in held my curiosity at bay
