Just to add to this old thread. My son was oos to Michigan (even though I grew up there). Lots of people from Illinois , Cal, NY (east coast in general), etc. Apply to where you want to go but just have realistic expectations and have logical safeties /schools you will also like to go to or don’t apply to them. Lol…
