Is it worth it if I got 70%?

I got 8.6 CGPA in 10th grade. Right now, I'm in 11th grade and in my mid-term exams, I got a shocking percentage of 65 in Physics. My passion lies in IT and Economics and I score in the top percentile in those subjects (95%). I have very strong ECs in the field of Information Technology which resulted in a bit of fame so I cannot list it here as I want to remain anonymous.

My aim was to get into Stanford or Harvard. I still have time to work my ass off to score very good in SAT. But I cannot change my 11th grade scores.

Schools in India tend to make 11th grade's paper very tough in order to prepare the students for 12th exams (which is the only score that Indian Universities consider)

Today, after seeing this Physics score, I feel like giving up. I might as well drop out and start my own business rather than wasting time and huge amount of money on this.

Should I continue?

Thanks. I found out that a 70% is A if you use certain GPA calculators. If colleges also look at 70% as an A then I have some hope.

There are certainly 2-3 students from 130 students who scored 90%+. But most scored under 75%. I’ll ask for official percentiles and compare.

ssgupta…you would have a strong chance coz i think your ec’s are stellar and as far as 11th grades are considered i have thee same case(i passed out this year)…so give your ranking because i know how ****ty papers these schools make…8 out 40 children in my class ducked the exam…also get good recc. These along with amazing SAT scores should boost your chance…

My school doesn’t provide percentile or ranking data for 11th graders :frowning: would they consider preparing the data just for me?
