Is it worth it to make an appeal at NYU?

<p>So my family's income has decreased considerably within the last year, however unfortunately this is not reflected in our 2008 tax returns, or therefore our FAFSA. Do you think it's worth it to make a financial aid appeal at NYU? I know they are known for giving less than adequate financial aid, but I want to feel like I've tried all my options. My dad's income decreased from about 220k to 90k, and my mom is a teacher with a pretty low salary. Should I go ahead and try to make an appeal?</p>

<p>it can’t hurt, but don’t expect miracles. Reduced income in 2009 will be reflected in next years fafsa.</p>

<p>Don’t expect your EFC to go from 50K to 10K</p>
