Is Kenyon one of those colleges where students come to class in their pajamas or sweatpants? Thanks!

Nope. If that's what ur looking for go to an all girls school.

While people don't get really dressed up for class, they also do not come in sweats/pjs. During orientation, we listened to a talk by a very well-respected English professor who said that he personally finds it very rude when students come to class looking like they just rolled out of bed.

It's funny that you say that VivaKC because I actually DO go to an all girls high school. I don't mind wearing jeans to class at all, I don't think I would ever actually wear PJ's to class, I just wanted to see what the classroom vibe was like. Because I go to an all girls high school with uniforms, I'm not really used to putting in a whole lot of effort in the morning, and I was wondering how much I am going to have to adjust in college.

I know a bunch of people who wear PJ's to their classes..And many kids wear sweat pants with me included, to the classes!! I haven't had problems so far and I don't think anyone has encountered abnormal reponse from their professors depending on what one wore.

I'm a junior at Kenyon, and I've heard from different professors that they think wearing pjs to class is disrespectful. I can understand. I wouldn't want to face a room of students who looked like they don't care enough about my course to wake up 2 minutes earlier and put on actual clothes. I don't think any professors would call a student out on it, but I would recommend putting on at least dirty jeans and a rumpled t-shirt.

funny u say that...kc_lady
i AM wearing dirty jeans and a rumpled t-shirt!
