Is MUSIC 26AC a difficult class?

I am planning to take this course to fulfill my arts/lit requirement. How hard is this class if anyone has taken it? It's four units, so I doubt it'll be a piece of cake, but how much time did you have to spend in this course/ how hard were the tests?

thanks

seriously one of the easiest classes i’ve taken on campus. don’t need to do the readings. i literally studied for the final the day of. there are 3 essay and they’re really about you and what you think (not like researching stuff). i got an a and did no work. take it if you want a gpa boost.

BUT PHASE 1 IT

Attended the class and the discussions; no studying or reading whatsoever outside of class and it was enough for an A.

So do you need to have any music-related experience/skills? Cause I have none whatsoever. But I do need to fulfill my arts/lit breadth also!

uh, don’t take it if you’re tone deaf. take music 27 instead, or espm 50ac.

Music 26AC can satisfy either Arts and Literature or Social and Behavioral Science requirement. You definitely don’t need any music-related experience or skills. Most of the songs/genre you cover in class (with the exception of modern hip-hop songs) are unheard to almost everyone in the class; it’s a fair game to everyone, IMO.

I’m not tone deaf, or at least, I think I’m not. Anywho, I’ll take UpMagic’s word for it and give it a try.
