Is my application going to be discarded?

Two days ago I received an e-mail from admissions-review@ucop.edu saying the following:

Dear ********,

We have received your University of California Undergraduate Application for Admission and Scholarships. Thank you for your interest in our campus.

We are in the process of reviewing your application. Before we can complete our review and reach an admission decision, we need the following information from you:

Junior level status (completion of 60 semester units of UC transferable coursework by the end of Spring 2009) is essential for admission consideration to the University of California. Based on the units you reported on your application, you will only have a total of 57 UC transferable semester units through Spring 2009. Unfortunately, Summer 2009 units are not included in your total units for review. Can you add 3 additional semester units of UC transferable coursework to Spring 2009? If possible, we suggest you add an additional calculus course; for selection of UCLA math majors completion of a third calculus course by the end of Spring 2009 is essential. Please refer to Welcome to ASSIST when selecting a course to determine UC transferability.

We must receive this information within five days of this message date, or processing of your application may be delayed or canceled.

Please click 'reply' to send your response and include this original message. If you have information to send to us, such as course updates, please send it in the body of the email versus an attachment.

Sincerely,

UC Los Angeles Undergraduate Admissions

Please note: This communication and your response may be shared and reviewed by the following campuses to which you may have applied: Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, and San Diego.

To make a long story short, because of a credit limitation on one of my math courses I didn't have 62 units as i initially thought. I finally found another 3 unit course to add to my Spring term and have since replied to the e-mail with that information. But, it seems like this email came from UCLA. I am applying to Berkeley also, is there a chance that my application has already been discarded because I was short on units? I've updated my application update form but is there something more i can do?

What do you mean by the credit limitation?

credit limitations occur when you take for example a Precalculus course in CC which includes Trig and in CC the unit count for the course is 6 units but UCs will limit it to 3 units or 4. THis is an example of a credit limitation.

THe email came from UC processing center but you can contact all schools invidually to be on the safe side.

pretty much, berekely doesnt play mr. nice guy. try sending them a letter if you really care.
