<p>If you go over 600, CUT IT DOWN. It’s not worth it. They stop reading after ~500 words anyway… no matter how great the next 250 words are, they will only hurt you.</p>

<p>My counselor told me that 515 would be the most to write, and my AP Lit teacher told us to approach the essay like a story, albeit a brief one - remember, its only a quick introduction. If someone came up to you with a super long intro into their life, you would get bored too.</p>
